Your log shows lines like this one:

   libusb_open error 13: Permission denied

Is brltty running as an admin user or as a regular user?

Are you using Windows 10 or 11?

That, at least for now, is probably the best method. I'm far from being what one might call a Windows expert and would welcome any suggestions as to how upgrading could be supported better.
