Do you happen to know (perhaps from the manual) if the keyboard emulates a PC HID keyboard? If so, it mightn't be sending data that brltty can see.

I'm not sure what, exactly, you mean by combined. The lines in the log look rather out of order. I'm hoping that you didn't try to do any form of manual merging.
